The painting "Łowicz" is part of the flagship series of views of cities and towns, in which Edward Dwurnik combined panoramic perspective with a narrative full of detail and characteristic deformation. In the offered painting, the composition is based on a densely built-up urban space and intense colors. The work is characterized by a dynamic narrative, it captures the urban bustle well, and the anxiety, seemingly hidden behind the pastel colors, is highlighted by the tanks in the center of the veduta. The motif of Lowicz, a city rich in tradition, adds additional cultural context to the painting.
